Much of the work produced over this time has been for prestigious design labels, with some projects being described as ‘Museum Pieces’ and ‘Extraordinary Furniture’
Since 2004 R J N Furniture has been creating furniture and accessories of the finest quality. The Workshop which was based near Cirencester has recently relocated to a high quality industrial unit in Cheltenham: here we will be able to keep a better control on humidity levels and working environment.
We have gained a reputation for being able to produce the most intricate and demanding designs, and work to engineering tolerances in many instances. Much of the work produced over this time has been for prestigious design labels, with some projects being described as ‘Museum Pieces’ and ‘Extraordinary Furniture’.
R J N furniture has throughout this time become experienced with combining many exotic materials with wood and veneer, and is now regarded as one of the few workshops able to work to a high standard with exotic finishes like Shagreen leather. We have good links to other specialist trades to be able to add a large variety of luxury embellishments if called for, including:
Gold Silver & Bronze
the delicate use of semi-precious stone, Mother of Pearl, Gold, Silver & Bronze
Natural High Grade Leather
Beautiful coverings using Leather including Shagreen, Snake, Alligator & Vellum
Engineered and laser cut
Gilding & Nickel plating – the use of natural Horn, Bone and faux Ivory for luxury finish
The Design Process
From our earliest discussions we will sketch a range of ideas, and suggest timbers and materials that we feel would work.
We would then have a review with you at our workshop to make sure we are on the same wavelength.
From this point we would define the style direction and agree a budget. You would be given samples of materials being considered to look at in the final setting.
We now present you with a final design in a fully rendered 3D computer image to the quality of the example above. This can then be viewed with any combination of veneers, timbers or materials at the click of a mouse.
The design can be adjusted at this stage until you are completely happy with all aspects of it.
Once the design is agreed you will be asked to confirm the project by way of a deposit payment. We would then set out a production timescale and produce detailed technical CAD drawings.
We would start manufacture of the piece once the client has had time to review the technical drawings, and has signed their approval.
We will source the best materials for the project and send images of progress if the client wishes.
We always welcome visits to the workshop by appointment to see progress.
The finished piece is finally given a discreet identity plaque which will guarantee authenticity for future valuation.
